Alan Bruce MacMillan

After a short battle with cancer we lost our beloved Al on Sunday, March 3, 2024. He was born in Midland, Ontario to James and Hazel MacMillan.

Beloved husband of Dorothy “Dot” MacMillan (Forsyth). Al and Dot just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on February 22. Cherished father of Scott MacMillan (Ruby), Sandy Murray and Leighton MacMillan. Proud grandfather of Bailey (Lance), Rachel, Maya, Grayson and Abby. Sadly missed by his BC family, David MacMillan (Lisa) and Lynn MacMillan and their children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by siblings Doug, Marion and his twin Bob. 

Al always had a curious mind that gravitated to a life of learning.  He had an optimistic attitude toward life.  He leaves many friends behind from the Ancient Mariners Canoe Club, his art group and his gourmet dinner group. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. 

Special thanks to Dr. Kuk and his entire staff at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre for their incredible care as well as the nurses at Paramed (especially Bennedetta). Their sincere compassion in taking care of Al will never be forgotten.
