Bruno Erik Roininen

1940 - 2023

Bruno passed away as a result of Parkinson’s, at the age of 82 in Kitchener on Friday July 7, 2023.

Bruno was a graduate of Queens University in mechanical engineering. He was a 33 year employee of General Motors, Oshawa which many of those years he was a senior engineer.

Bruno was dearly loved and cherished by his partner, Lynne Kerr. He was the proud father of Mark (Olivia) and Aaron (Aisha) Roininen and the loving Ukko of his only grandson, Luke.

He was also loved and respected by James, Leeanne, Patrick and Ashlynn Kerr.  Predeceased by his parents Johannes and Aili and his brother Leo Roininen. Bruno will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Irma Roininen, his nephew John Roininen (Wendy), nieces Debbie Kelemen and Linda Roininen and their families.

Bruno very much loved and enjoyed his Haliburton Cottage where he created many lasting memories with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation will take place. A Memorial Reception will be held in Oshawa in the weeks to come. Internment in Sudbury.
