Dennis Robert Kahl

1949-2023

Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday November 25th at the age of 73.

Dennis was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario and retired from Budd Automotive. During his time there he was an active union committee member and often helped out with social/special events. He played baseball for a number of years and enjoyed refurbishing classic cars and displayed his cars in car shows. His sense of humour, quick wit and knowledge was enjoyed by all of his family and friends. During his retirement years he enjoyed going to Chicago’s shooting pool and having pints with friends. He loved his weekly Tuesday “daycare” at Waterloo Hospice day away program.

Loving father and best friend to Danny Kahl (Lisa Madill) and Michelle Den Otter (nee Kahl) all of Kitchener. Cherished Popi of Kalen and Avery Den Otter.

Dear brother of Marilyn Schmidt, Randy Kahl (predeceased), Joann MacKinnon, Sandy Kahl (predeceased) Robert Kahl, Diann Lackie, David Kahl, Nancy Ann Kahl (predeceased) .Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents; Ted and Doreen Kahl.

He will sadly missed by many relatives, co-workers, friends and neighbours.

A special thank you to the volunteers and care takers at Lisaard House and Hospice of Waterloo.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Chicago’s Pub, 725 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, Ontario, Saturday  December 16, 2023  from 2pm-5pm.

Donations may be made to Lisaard House and Hospice of Waterloo as expressions of sympathy as would be appreciated by the family.
