James (Jim) Edward Bristow

Passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital on Saturday April 8, 2023 at the age of 90 years.  

Born in Toronto November 11, 1932. Graduated from Western Technical Commercial School in 1950.

During the 1960’s and early 1970’s Jim was a member of the Unity Flute and Drum Corps and frequently spent weekends traveling throughout Ontario performing alongside son Peter.

Jim spent 35 years at a career with Canada Post and after retirement worked with the Toronto Police Services as a crossing guard. Grateful friend of Bill W. for 20+ years.

James will be fondly remembered by his daughter Kathy Quessy (Stephen) of Glen Allan by his 3 grandchildren; Jaclyn (Chris), Yvonne (Graham} and Terry (Ashley) and by 3 great grandchildren; Melanie, Hudson and Wesley.

Predeceased by his parents Henry and Susan Norris, by his sons; Jim and Peter Bristow.

Cremation will take place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
