James “Jim” Leo Cushing

Jim at the age of 82 years has succumbed to Cancer on Friday June 28th, 2024 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener. Jim's benevolent presence will be immensely missed by all. He was sustained in this part of his journey by the caring staff of Freeport with guidance by Father Cruz & Jim's enduring faith.

Born and raised on the Cushing Farm near Drayton, he started out in banking, transferred to Toronto & Hamilton, worked at Uniroyal Elmira, was a Delivery Driver with B&D deliveries Guelph & retired in Kitchener, then moved to Cambridge last year.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday July 12thin St John's Roman Catholic Church 85 Strange St Kitchener. Private interment will take place in Elmira.

A Celebration of Life is awaiting your participation, with food, drink & revelry, Saturday July 13th from 1pm - 3pm.at Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 126  334 Westminster St N  Preston.

In lieu of flowers, sympathy donations can be sent to Canadian Cancer Society.
