Judith Lynne Newman

1960-2024

On January 14th, 2024 Judy Lynne Newman, 63 years of age, lost her battle to cancer. Although her battle was short, her fight was fierce and determined as she kept her positive and loving energy until the very end.

Judy was born in Montreal, Quebec on August 22, 1960 to the late Thomas & Eleanor Proctor. Judy is survived by her doting husband of 33 years Paul, her cherished children Alexandra and Zachary, her children-in-laws Jamieson & Abigail, her brother Bruce (Linda), her sister Ainslie, and her best friends and angels on earth Karen and Kim. She is also survived by her parents-in-law William & Christina, her sisters-in-law Jennifer (Rich), Karen (John), and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was a longtime and dedicated employee at Waterloo North Hydro and recently retired after 34 years of service. 

Judy had an infectious laugh that could light up any room and the best cook in town. The Newman/Proctor family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Grand River Hospital and at Lisaard House Hospice.

Cremation has taken place and Judy's celebration of life will be held on April 21 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Cellar52 in St. Jacobs, ON. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lisaard House as expressions of sympathy.

Her family and friends will continue to miss her and live out her legacy until the end of time.
