Kathleen Elizabeth (Perger) Hager

1943 - 2024

Passed away on Friday February 2nd, 2024 at St. Mary’s General Hospital at the age of 80 years.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Hager (2017) they were married for 56 years.

Loving and most caring mother of Nate Hager (Collen McCann) of Waterloo and Lisa Hager (John Speers) of Palmerston.

Cherished grandmother of Hailey and Cooper Speers. 

Remembered by her sister Rose Mary Schonberger, Sister in-law Arlene Hager and nieces and nephews – Marcel Mels Jr., Gary Mels, Tracy Hager, John Carpenter, Mark Schonberger (Michelle), and Tracy Young.

Predeceased by her parents Rose (Piszter) and Frank Perger, as well as her sister and brother-in law Ethel and Marcel Mels, brother-in law Mike Hager and niece Lore Willard.

Kathleen grew up in Norfolk County and was a well known artist in the region. She had an exceptional talent for painting people and landscapes. Acknowledged by the Hungarian Community for her beautiful paintings of the traditional Hungarian outfits and customs.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Paris Fairgrounds Community Room, at 139 Silver St, Paris, ON N3L 1V5 on Sunday, June 23rd from 11-3.
