Kathleen Macintosh Hargreaves

1930-2023

Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday November 29th, 2023 at the of 93 years.

Kathleen was born in Kampala, Uganda and raised in England.  She attended the Royal Caledonian School in Bushey, Herefordshire from 5 to 16 years of age.  She attended business college and subsequently worked as a secretary or administrative assistant until her retirement in 1985.  She moved to Canada in 1957 where she met her husband, Alan, and was married.  Kathleen loved many things including knitting, sewing, playing her piano, going to movies, baking, reading everything, and animals. 

Beloved wife and best friend of Alan “Al” Hargreaves, who were married for over 65 years. Loving and cherished mother of Jean, Kathleen, Graham, and Alison (Chris).

Proud grandmother of Stuart, Seraph, Briscoe, Katrina, Damian, Michele, Corin, Rachel, and Eleanor.

Great-grandmother to Juno, Melody, Zac, Faith, Ziana, Deevon, Amari, Inouk, D’Jean, Jontae, Jamian, Mia, Erin, Ezraya, Kenzo, and Jordan.

Great-great grandmother to Neriah.

Predeceased by sister Joan Van Loon and her parents Kenneth and June (Rose) Robertson.

Kathleen has generously gifted her body to the University of Waterloo to help educate students through their School of Anatomy.
