Lionel “Len” Rose
1934-2024
Born in Warrington, England in 1934, and passed away in his home in Kitchener Wednesday July 24, 2024
Deeply missed by Colleen, his wife of 68 years; his children: Cindy, Kathryn (Pat) Harrington, Christopher (Margo) and Patrick.; His granddaughters: Colleen (Tim Wilson), and Shealyn; his great granddaughters: Alice, Lillian and Rynn. Survived by his sister Jeanette.
Predeceased by his infant son Timothy and by his brothers Roy and John.
He emigrated to Canada in 1952. An electrician all of his working life, he was a proud member of Local 804, IBEW.
His family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital especially the wonderful 8th floor nurses, as well as the PSW’s, nurses and overnight carers from Community Care Services, Paramed and Care Partners. Also Dr. H. El Ghamudi at Cambridge Memorial Hospital who, over several years (in spite of being a Liverpool supporter} became a friend and gave Lionel relief from chronic pain.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Dedication Centre at the Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Road, Kitchener, Tuesday August 6 at 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow.
Memorial Donations to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region or St. Andrew’s Memorial Anglican Church would be appreciated by his family .
