Nina Manco

July 28, 1940 - Feb 13, 2023

Nina peacefully passed away on Feb 13th at 12:52pm at St Andrew’s Terrace long-term care home. Nina was surrounded by her only child Gino, her only grandson, Michael (Vanessa) and her two granddaughters Ashley (Warren) and Gina (Chris).

Nina was born July 28, 1940 in Ukraine. As a young pre-teen she then moved to Canada and settled in Cambridge, met her husband of 63 years Mike, and they built a wonderful life. Nina has only one child Gino  whom she adores. She also had only one grandson Michael whom she cherished very much. Along with two granddaughters, Ashley and Gina, on whom she never passed on an opportunity to spoil. Nina was a very talented seamstress for Montreal Woman’s for 40 years. She was the most loving, caring and sweet mother, and the very best nonna to her grandchildren and great grandchildren Owen Reuben and Leah Reuben. She was always very present and a large part of our upbringing. She never passed up any opportunities to spend time with us whether it was baking and cooking different foods with us decorating for special occasions or getting measurements for the outfits she made for us, our whole childhood.

Nina built a wonderful life, she worked extremely hard in both her professional life and her personal life. She had many close friends and had the ability to be loved by all who met her. We were blessed to have such a vital role model to look up to you. She fought hard to make the best out of any situation up to the end of her time with us she will be deeply missed by her son grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all have so many fond memories and carry on with us the essential life lessons you instilled in us, you are at peace now reunited with the love of your life.

Special thanks and gratitude to Melody (RN) and staff at St Andrew’s Terrace for their care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place and the family is mourning privately.
