Olaf Steffen

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at the age of 86 years.

Olaf was born in Germany, and later moved to Kitchener with his wife and daughter in 1967, where he soon started his landscaping business. He was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest outside in nature, the family spent many wonderful years camping and canoeing in Northern Ontario. Since retirement, Olaf could usually be found in the backyard working in their garden amongst the many plants and flowers.

Beloved husband of Waltraut Ellen Steffen (nee Hoppe) married for over 60 years.  Loving father of Marina Hermann, and father-in-law to Christian Hermann. Dear Brother of Karin Zeitnitz (recently deceased), he is survived by his many nieces and nephews in Germany.

Cremation will take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy.
