Patricia Ann Richter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Richter (nee Jamieson), on Nov. 25th, 2024, in her 80th year. Cherished wife of Harold, sharing over 55 years of marriage. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, teacher and friend. Dearly loved by her three daughters, Katharine (Dave), Jennifer and Elizabeth (Kieran). She was also Oma to two much-loved grandsons, Blake and Louis.

Born in 1944 in Fergus, Ontario, Pat was a talented cook, hostess with the mostest, a life-long learner and an active volunteer in her community. She had a long career in teaching and was especially passionate about working with kids who needed that extra bit of love and support. Her kindness, love of a deep conversation, and her wry sense of humour left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was an incredibly strong woman, no matter what challenges in life that she faced. We are so proud of her.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, Wilma and Norman, and other loved members of our large extended family. She is survived by her brothers Paul and Ken, and sisters-in-law, Lynda and Irma. Pat was a social spirit and cherished her life-long friendships, particularly with Caroline, Eleanor and Marjorie. Her memory will live on through her family, friends, students, and the many other lives she touched.

As per Pat’s wishes, a private cremation ceremony will take place. A celebration of life will happen at a later date. Since Pat was an accomplished cook and showed love through her cooking, donations to your local food bank on her behalf would greatly be appreciated.

We want to thank the caring staff at the Village of Winston Park for making our mother’s life as comfortable as possible while battling dementia.

Rest in peace, Mom. We are thankful you are no longer suffering and you will live on forever in our hearts.

Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237. Please visit Pat’s obituary notice on Facebook.
