Roger Francis Parsons

1953-2024

Passed away peacefully on Monday January 8th, 2024.

Roger loved the outdoors. He was a runner, cyclist and enjoyed camping, hiking, and skiing. He grew up in Kitchener and attended St. Jerome’s high school. He later graduated from Conestoga College and the University of Waterloo. He started his career at the Children’s Aid Society in Stratford and later worked for WSIB.

He was quiet, patient and compassionate with a good sense of humor. He loved beer and butter tarts and playing practical jokes on his kids.

He leaves behind his wife Bonnie, and his 5 children Dave (Lindsay), Erin (Gary), Ben (Bonnie), Alex and Tanner. He was “Papa” to his grandchildren Gavin, Ilya, Rosalyn and Anna.

Brother of Ken (Loretta) and Don (Trish). Predeceased by his parents Michael and Frances Parsons.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or food donations, expressions of sympathy can be made to Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of choice and would be appreciated by the family.
