It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shelley Bastin, a free spirit, talented artist, and embodiment of peace. She passed peacefully on Tuesday December 3, 2024.
Shelley was a beacon of light and warmth in our lives. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love shaped us into who we are today. A gifted artist, she expressed herself through her unique carvings, drawings, and paintings, capturing the beauty of the world around her and inspiring those who had the opportunity to view her work.
A true free spirit, Shelley embraced life with open arms and an open heart. Known for her gentle nature, she avoided conflict and sought harmony in all her relationships. Her infectious laughter and vibrant sense of humor could brighten any room, making her a joy to be around. She was always a safe place for her family and friends, offering comfort and understanding in times of need. Her home, shared with her longtime partner, Sterling Morris, was a sanctuary filled with joy, laughter, and love.
Shelley will be deeply missed by her children, Adam, Allison, and James, her stepchildren, Devin and Tiffany, and her cherished grandchildren, Ivory, Roman, Memphis, David, Joseph, Salvator, and Sloane, who brought her immense joy and pride. Her legacy of love, creativity, and peace will continue to live on in our hearts and in the lives she transformed.
Rest in peace, dear mother. Your spirit, artistry, and unwavering support will forever guide us.
