Sylvia Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sylvia Anderson on December 27th suddenly at her home. Born in Cornwall, ON on January 14th, 1949, predeceased by her soulmate Horst Beck and survived by her children Sasha Einwechter (Todd) and Joshua Tousignant, her stepson Gary Beck and her sisters Grace, Loretta and Irene. Sylvia was a teacher at Northern Secondary School in Sturgeon Falls. She lived in Cornwall, Ottawa, Malawi, Mississauga, North Bay and Kitchener. 

She enjoyed new things; from testing out countless recipes, to visiting numerous countries, to trying new activities including square dancing and pickle ball. She was a magician in the kitchen and the definition of 'hostess with the mostest'. Her quilts have celebrated new births, marriages and comforted those in cancer treatment. 

A celebration of life will be held on January 25th, 2025 at Rockway golf course in Kitchener. Drop in between 1-4pm with words of remembrance at 2:30. In lieu of flowers or tears, the family encourages donations to your local food bank or the Heart and Stroke society.
