W. Robert Cecil “Cecil” Moore
Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday March 23, 2023 at the age of 75 years.
Cecil was born and lived most of his life in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He loved sports and in his younger years was active in baseball, broomball and soccer. Later in life he was an avid dart player. This is where he met his beloved Beverly Currie, who was at his side to the end supporting Cecil in his wish to be at home. He had a love for music, especially “Harry Hibbs”, where he spent many hours listening, enjoying and entertaining us with his clappers.
Loving father of Judy (Brian) and Michael. Cherished grandfather of Janine and Jared (Whitney). He will be dearly missed by his siblings; Beatrice (Aubrey), Bernice (Tommy), Johnny (Tracey) and especially by Bev’s family.
Predeceased by his parents; Robert and Eva Moore, brothers ; Robert (Hunny), Roy, Gerald and Charles.
Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospital as expressions of sympathy. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of St. Mary’s Emergency for their kindness and care shown to Cecil and his family during his final hours. You are truly angels.
