Alexander (Sandy) Milne Reid

Passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 90.

Beloved husband of Catherine Reid (nee Ewing) for 69 years. Cherished father of Alexander Jr. (Paula) and Brian (Anne). Proud grandfather of Colleen (Andy) Brown and Michael (Katelyn) Reid. Great grandfather of Josephine, Emma and Owen Brown and Nathan, Adriana, Hannah and Eli Reid. Also survived by his foster sister Rena and extended family in Scotland and Canada.

Predeceased by his cherished granddaughter Allison (2012), his brothers George, Arthur, James and William and his foster sister Kathleen.

Sandy did his two years national service in the RAF before coming to Canada in 1967 with his family. A first-class carpenter, he was always willing to help anyone who needed it; his family, friends, church and the U.K. Club in Cambridge. He spent the last fourteen years working as a carpenter with the W.R.D. School Board. He loved many holidays in Scotland and America. He also loved bird watching and star gazing.

Cremation has taken place. He will be buried in Coldwater, Ontario Cemetery at a later date.
