Arno Heinz Goetze

1928 - 2024

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday May 9th, 2024 at the age of 95.

Arno was born in Rasasnitz Germany Nov 23, 1928. He immigrated to Kitchener, Ontario in 1959.  Arno was employed with many different companies throughout the years. His last place of employment was BF Goodrich/Epton which he retired from in 1993.  At this time Arno took up woodworking which became his passion for several years.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Martin) who were married for over 46 wonderful years. Elizabeth and Arno took many trips over their marriage including back to Germany several times, across Canada and to the United States.

Loving father of Hartman Goetze, Ralph Goetze and Sandi /Ron Bianchet   Stepsons to Jim Furbacher and Charlie Furbacher

Arno has 8 grown grandchildren, Stephine, Jennifer, Jalen, Blake, Paige, Hannah and Katie and 3 great children

Dear Brother of Heize Goetze, still living in Germany

Predeceased by his youngest brother Manfred, who passed the same day as Arno. He also lost his best friend of 75 years, Arno who passed away 2020.

At Arno’s request, cremation will take place and a private family gathering will be held at a future date.
