Beatrice (Betty) Jones
Jones, Beatrice (Betty) peacefully, at Park Lane Terrace on Saturday September 21, 2024, in her 96th year. Betty was born in Windsor, Ontario on December 17, 1928 to Rhena and John Hoffman.
She was known for her incredible knitting skills, baking, and her enduring support of those around her. Over the years, she transformed countless balls of yarn into beautiful sweaters, intricate blankets, and cherished keepsakes for many, including her family and friends, each piece a testament to her creativity and love for her craft. Her hands worked like magic, knitting not just yarn but also memories with keepsakes that will stay with us forever. Her creativity touched many lives, and her legacy will continue to live on.
Betty is survived by her loving children, Dennis Brown (Cathy), and Betty-Lou Nunn (Dave), her sister Carol Dickin, her cherished grandchildren, Kelly Brown Tidwell (Chris), Robert Brown (Kim), Steven Nunn (Darci-Lyn), Tricia Makcrow (Mark), and her great-grandchildren, Abigail and Faith Brown, and Vee and Sarah Makcrow. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Jones, her son David Gill, her brother Robert Hoffman, and sisters Jane Morris, and Shirley Campbell.
Rest in peace, dear Betty. Your incredible talent and stories will be missed, but your stitches will forever connect us. You will be forever missed and always remembered in our hearts.
At her request, cremation has taken place with interment at Parklawn Cemetery followed by a private family service at a later date.
