Joshua “JJ” James Scott

1986-2024

Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Friday September 20th, 2024 at the age of 38 years.

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure….”

(J.J) Joshua James Scott was born and raised in Collingwood. He loved sports, playing both baseball and hockey growing up. Josh also loved fishing growing up and had a huge love for music throughout his whole life.

Josh loved and valued family. He was extremely passionate and deeply cherished being a father to three beautiful daughters.  He will be lovingly remembered and extremely missed by his 3 daughters: Nevaeh, Adrianna and Vada.

Josh’s love and legacy will live on through his daughters.

He will be lovingly remembered and especially missed by his big sister Shannon “Shai”  Ransier. 

“Hold my hand big sister all the years through, Hold my hand little brother for I will always love & protect you.”

He is the cherished and  loving Uncle of Abigail “Abby”  Ransier.

Cherished and loved foster son of Laurie Larocque and Joshua’s siblings, Charlea-Angel, Andrè James and Kristopher Lee.

Loved and deeply missed by all of his childhood and lifelong friends.

Josh is also loved and missed by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Predeceased by his mother Margaret Jane “Peggy” Ransier (2018), by his grandmother Margaret Mary Ransier (2019) and by his grandfather James Andrew Ransier (1996).

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to any local food bank as expressions of sympathy.
