Donald George Spalding

1946 -2023
 
Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday October 13, 2023 at the age of 77 years.

Known by his family as Donny, and his friends as Don, he was born to George and Kathleen Spalding, and lived most of his life in Preston.  He was employed at Michel Simard Limited for many years until his retirement in 2015.  In his younger years, Donny was an avid fisherman, who loved to catch but never eat the fish he caught.

Donny is survived by his loving daughter Samantha, and 3 wonderful grandsons, Isaiah, Jackson and Benjamin.  They were the loves of his life. Cherished brother of Fran McCulloch, Margo Jenks, Bette Simard (Mike), and Susan Morrison (Dan). Uncle Donny will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his son Brent (2021), his parents, the mother of his children Donna (Metler)(2019), brothers-in-law Dave McCulloch and Tom Jenks.

Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00 am, followed by a private burial.
