Helen Elizabeth Schelter

1946-2024 

With much sadness we announce that Helen passed away on August 31st, at the age of 78 peacefully at her home in Waterloo.

Cherished mother of Scott (Nicole) Schelter of Waterdown and Stacey (Bill) Mollitor of Kitchener. Nana will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Clark, Grace and Hudson Schelter and Chelsea and Charlotte Mollitor. Also remembered by sister, Ruth Parker, brother and sister in law, Arthur and Betty Schelter and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, William "Hubba" (1986), brothers in law, Robert Parker and Jack Schelter, and sisters in law, Margaret Schelter, Margot Schelter and Lucie Brenneman, niece Anne-Marie Parker and by her parents, Jean and Clayton Davis.

Helen graduated in 1966 as a Registered Nurse from K-W School of Nursing and enjoyed a career at K-W Grand River Hospital for 50 years. She was proud and dedicated to her public service and showed care and empathy to each of her patients. Helen enjoyed quiet activities like gardening, quilting, antiquing, coffee with a friend and sitting in the sun on her deck. She also enjoyed skiing and had fond memories of times in Muskoka with friends and family.

To honour her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a private family gathering and internment at Parkview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society on Helen's behalf.
