Irene Margaret Diebold

1942-2024 

Passed away peacefully at Innisfree House, Kitchener on Saturday January 13th, at the age of 81 and she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Kitchener Ontario where she lived her entire life.  Irene was a member of the Moose Lodge for many years and participated in their dart league.  Irene liked to socialize with her friends, family and neighbours on Friday nights when they gathered at her home to play darts.  She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and baking with her daughters.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Diebold, they were married for over 61 years. 

Loving and cherished mother of Kathy Diebold and Susan Schneider (Joe). Very Proud Grandma of Brandon Diebold and Jason Schneider.

Dearest sister of Louise Barker and Earl Newsome and sister in law to Jim & Doreen Poser.

Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Dorothy and by her sister Elaine Smallwood and brothers Wayne Newsome and Raymond Newsome

Cremation has taken place.   A Celebration of Irene’s life will be held at the Moose Lodge (655 Wabanaki Drive, Kitchener) on Saturday January 27, 2024 between 1 & 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Innisfree House and would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
