John Munro
After a three year battle with cancer that he faced with strength, courage and humour, John passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 3rd, 2023 at 68 years young.
Loving son of Helen and the late William Munro. Very loved and loving Dad of Amy (Peter) and Amanda (Neil). Much loved Grandpa of Zac, Kaden and Liam. Loved older brother of Peter (Lori). He will be forever missed and loved by Jill Masters and her family.
John grew up in Schomberg Ontario. He was a long time employee of Wilsons Truck Lines Ltd and more recently Motor Vehicle Personnel ( MVP ).
Heartfelt thanks to John's many friends who kept in touch by visiting, phone calls, texts and emails during his journey. You made a difficult time a little easier for him. John's family would also like to thank the amazing healthcare professionals that cared for him at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Grand River Cancer Centre, Grand River Hospital and Freeport Campus-Palliative Care Unit.
A special thanks to Dr Eric Oh, Dr Chris Lund, Dr Syed Hussaini, Dr Daniel Glick, Dr Alex Trussler and all the wonderful nurses and staff of South Court Hospice Freeport for providing John with excellent care and treating him with kindness, respect and dignity. You will never be forgotten.
John's family would appreciate donations be made to Grand River Hospital -Freeport Campus-Palliative Care as expressions of sympathy.
At his request, John's ashes will be lovingly placed at the locations he has chosen.
