Judy Kent (Fitzpatrick),

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Judy Kent (Fitzpatrick), at the age of 75, on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Born on January 11, 1950, to the late Dot and Gord Fitzpatrick, Judy was a loving wife to the late Keith Kent (2012), with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her partner in later years, Raymond Lahey (2024). Judy was part of a large, close-knit family, and was predeceased by her siblings Buck, Diddle, Sal, Tarcy, and Dick. She is survived by her siblings Boo, Back/Terry, Marn, Gary/Kim, and Carol.

Judy’s love for her family knew no bounds. She was the devoted mother of Keith (Heather), Jason (Melanie), and Marian (David), and a proud grandmother to Courtney, Abbey, Kaden, and Jaxx. Judy also shared a special bond with the Budgell family, and will be greatly missed by Tanya, Steve, Nicole (Josh), Stephen, Sydney (Isaac), and Amelia. In addition, she was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, who will all feel her loss deeply.

Judy enjoyed her quiet moments spent watching movies or TV shows while knitting or crocheting. She was always working on projects, whether it was making blankets for her grandchildren or crafting small figures for Amelia. Judy worked for more than 15 years at Ventratech before moving over to Cambridge Fibres with her family. She loved her days at work. She was a woman who treasured her time with her family more than anything. Judy and her granddaughter Courtney had a weekly tradition of Monday Night TV Bingo, complete with sleepovers and weekly shopping trips. She loved cheering on her grandsons at their hockey games. You could always convince Judy to join you for a night at the casino with the slot machines or to venture over the border to Seneca for a shopping trip. Judy also cherished her cozy evenings with Jason and Mel, watching soaps and movies together.

Judy’s warmth, love, and laughter will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1pm to 5pm at Hespeler Legion (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 272) - 26 Schofield St, Cambridge, ON N3C 1Y3.

Messages and condolences may be left at www.tricitycremations.com. Please visit Judy’s obituary notice on Facebook.
