Leslie Harvey Saunders
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved uncle, Leslie Saunders, who left us peacefully on July 18, 2024 at the age of 96. Born on October 20, 1927, in Verdun, QC. Leslie lived a life full life of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family, friends and the love of curling.
He is survived by his many nieces and nephews who absolutely adored him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of life for Leslie will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 – 1:30-4:00 PM at his personal home residence in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to INNISFREE HOUSE 2375 Homer Watson Blvd., Kitchener ON N2P 0E9. Our family owes a great dedication to Innisfree House and their volunteers for the wonderful care and support that they had given to our Uncle during his remaining days. A special thank you to Debbie & Thayna for your years of support to Uncle Les. We could not have done this without you both!
We find comfort in knowing that our Uncle Les is now at peace, reunited with his beloved wife Myrna Saunders, who he had missed dearly for 8 years. His legacy of the love of life, laughter and kindness will forever be remembered.
Rest in peace, dear uncle. You will always be in our hearts.
