William “Kerry” Johnston

1948 – 2024

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Freeport Palliative Care Unit at the age of 76 years. 

Born in Calgary, Alberta Kerry and his family moved around growing up in cities like London (England), Halifax and West Vancouver. He spent the majority of his career as a partner in Bold Point Software working with small local companies and some large national corporations. After retirement, he continued to mentor and support small businesses across Canada. He also filled his time trying to win the “best lawn” award in the neighbourhood, although no such award existed and tinkering around on his car, working on home reno projects or cooking for friends.

He is survived by his children Rob and Kim and grandchildren Jacob and Spencer. He will also be missed by his close friends Mary, David and Gail.

Predeceased by his parents; William and Elizabeth (nee Kenzik) Johnston and his sister Barbara Haagenson.

Cremation will take place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
