Lynne Bernadette Francis Salzman

SALZMAN, Lynne Bernadette Francis passed away peacefully at Golden Years in Cambridge at age 75 on Thursday, April 11, 2024. She was born in Guelph on January 13, 1949, daughter of the late James and Jean (Parker) Embro.

Lynne was sister to Pat (Rick Williams), Terry, Connie and Jim.

For 58 years Lynne and her husband Joe were inseparable, She was his one and only, and he was her everything.

Her chosen Confirmation name was after Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals. Lynne loved horses her whole life and her cats until her final breath. A favourite place was at the farm in Crosshill, where many a visit was spent with family playing games around the kitchen table, or in the barn with the horses, rabbits and sheep. Lynne did hairdressing in homes when she was younger, and over the years she enjoyed snowmobiling in her Artic Cat purple, collecting Beanie Babies, and visiting her friends at the apartment, the flea market and at the horse barn where Sequoia was boarded. She cherished her lifelong china figurine collection of cats and horses.

Lynne will be lovingly missed by her Salzman family - Jim Salzman (Sandy) of Edmonton, Linda Vogt of St. Jacobs, Brenda Brissette (Rusty) of Conestogo, Bruce Salzman (Brenda) of Milverton, Barb Ortelli (Dave) of Milverton, Jen Salzman (Jeff Taylor) of Kitchener. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and their families, aunts and uncles, cousins, and her friends.

A public Memorial Interment service will take place at a later date at Shantz Mennonite Church, where she will be reunited with her beloved parents-in-love Dorothy and Leon Salzman, and sister-in-love Susie. A reception to celebrate Lynne's life will follow the interment.

Family would like to thank the wonderful staff and residents of Golden Years for their care and support of Lynne during her years with them, and their heartfelt farewell as she went through their doors for the last time.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made direct to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Another way to honour Lynne is to support a family member, neighbour, friend, or charity in need: financially, emotionally or physically.
