Nancy Anne Marie Binkle

1942 - 2024

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Monday November 18th, 2024, in Waterloo at the age of 82 years.

Nancy Anne was born on November 14, 1942 and was raised in Clifford, Ontario.  She moved to Kitchener and worked a Bell Canada switchboard operator.  She graduated from KW School of Hair Styling and opened her hair salon in Maryhill, Ontario where her & Bev raised their daughters.  She later worked at Ruffled Elegance in St, Jacob’s where she could blend her love of working with fabric and teaching others quilting skills.  Nancy Anne was an avid seamstress, quilter and fabric artist.

Nancy Anne married her best friend & love of her life, Beverly Binkle (2021).  They were married for over 60 years.

Loving and dedicated mother of Andrea Binkle and Marcia Reeves (Michael).

Cherished grandmother of Adam (Alyssa), Aaron (Leanne), Beverly (Sean), Derek (Brittany), David (Brie).

Blessed grand grandmother to Camden, Asher & Axel.

Dear Sister of Elaine Bowman & Larry Hartwig (2020).  A wonderful Aunt to a number nieces and nephews.  A great friend to many. 

A special thank you her dear friends, Karen Brandon & Dianne Ditner who spent countless hours with Nancy Anne in her last days.  Thank you to the Palliative Care Team of personal support workers, nurses and doctors that supported Nancy Anne to remain in her home until her final breath and last heartbeat. Also thank you, to the staff at Clair Hills Retirement Home where Nancy Anne called “home” for the past couple years. 

Cremation will take place. Gathering of family & friends will be held at the Maryhill Community Center,  58 St. Charles Street Maryhill, Ontario from 2:30-4:30pm on Saturday November 23rd, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saugeen Hospice Inc. (www.saugeenhospice.ca) or Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice (www.norfolkhaldimandhospice.ca)  as expressions of sympathy.
