Pamela Faye Bolger
1967 - 2024
It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Faye Bolger (nee Newman) on December 6th 2024, after a short illness. She was 57. She demonstrated strength, determination, and fought a brave and dignified battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her soul mate and husband, Tony. Together for 37 years, Pam and Tony shared a love that was truly special - a treasured partnership built on unwavering devotion, mutual respect, and the deepest care for one another. Their love for each other was clear to everyone; a beautiful bond that filled their lives with happiness.
Cherished mother of Greg (Jill) and Rachal (Graeme), and bonus mom to Meghan (Alex). Our mom was an amazing mother. She made each of us feel truly loved and valued, always taking a deep interest in our lives. She had a unique way of making us feel special, encouraging us to embrace our natural strengths and she guided us with love and wisdom.
Adored Nana of Meredith. Though their time together was far too short, Meredith and Nana shared a special bond filled with love and joy. Nana’s pride and unconditional love created memories that will be cherished forever. She was also a loving Nana to fur babies Daisy, Finley, Leo, and Cousteau.
Pam will be reunited with her mom, Carol, and mother-In-law Lill. She will be forever treasured by her sisters Roxane and Beverly. Beloved sister-in-law to Lisa (Colen) and Wayne (Cheryl), Aunt Pam will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, especially Danielle, Mitchell, and Riley.
Pam was a Health Care Worker at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for over 35 years. The friends she made there became lifelong friends beyond the hospital. Pam, Deb, Jeff, Jackie, Jen and Angie shared laughter, support, and countless memories. Pam will also be sorely missed by many other friends, including her neighbours Mike and Wendy.
Pam was known for being an exceptional hostess, chef, and baker. Making delicious things for you to eat was one of her love languages. Her unforgettable ‘3 meat treat’ dinners, a favourite side for everyone, and a 2 dessert minimum is the standard we’ll keep to honour her. Outside of the kitchen, another passion was her garden. From growing delicious tomatoes (many varieties, of course!) her roses, her special Japanese Maple, to all her perennials, it was a true labour of love for her that everyone benefited from.
As a final act of generosity, Pam was an organ donor and was able to offer the gift of sight.
Pam leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, kindness, and many cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Take a moment to hug your loved ones, share your feelings, and hold them close - because we’re never promised tomorrow. Pam was truly one of a kind, and we are so thankful for every moment we had with her.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Lumsden for her medical expertise, compassion, and kindness. We’d also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital on the 6th floor oncology team, who cared for Pam throughout her illness, as well as the ICU staff for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Pam’s honour to The Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and the Hospice of Waterloo-Wellington. Please also consider donating blood to the Canadian Blood Services as this selflessness on the part of others gave us additional time with Mom.
There will be a funeral service for Pam on Thursday, December 12th, at 7pm at the New Apostolic Church in Cambridge (10 Birkinshaw Rd). All are welcome for a brief visitation at 6pm, as well as afterwards to stay for some refreshments - it wouldn’t feel right not to celebrate her without food! For those unable to attend in person you can access the livestream of the service at: https://livestream.com/naccanada/funeralpambolger Recording located here: https://youtu.be/qo4J-zU1xEw?feature=shared
