Gerard Paul Hynes

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gerard Paul Hynes. He passed peacefully at the age of 61 with his girls at his side in Cambridge Memorial Hospital on December 5th of 2024. 

He leaves behind his loving wife Kim Hynes (nee Morgan) Cherished father of Katelyn (Matthew), Krista (John), Shaun (Hope) and his father-in-law Angus Morgan.  Dear brother of Mike (Ann), Alf, Aiden, Ann “sis” (Robert) and Trish (Reggie).  As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Grace Hynes, his brother Ned, his mother-in-law Dianne and nephew Tyler.  

Gerard picked up the drums at the early age of 8 years old, his passion for music was extraordinary, spending his weekends at the Cabana doing what he enjoyed. 

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date, in lieu of flowers and donations can be made to the Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
