Paul Lloyd Lawson

Paul passed away on March 27, 2025, at Lisaard House Hospice in Cambridge, Ontario, at the age of 81.

Paul was an enthusiastic serial entrepreneur who, in the late 1970s, set up one of the first recycling companies in Canada. He also tinkered with machines in his sign-making shop and was a seasoned truck driver who loved to travel North America.

Beloved partner and best friend of Deborah Campbell for 47 years, who kept him grounded and right. Cherished and inspirational father of Charlene, Lisa, Sherri-Lynn Audrey, April, Tara (Chad), and Paul Jr. (Bobbi-Lynn). His grandchildren Max, Sheldon, Ethan, Hunter, and Emmi were his most precious pride and joy. Paul is survived and greatly missed by his sister, Mary Darlene; Brother-in-law of Byron and sister-in-law, Lynn Noseworthy; his longest-known friend of 64 years, Lenny; a close trucker friend of 30 years, Byron; nieces and nephews who include Phyllis and Melissa, and those who adopted him as an uncle such as Patricia, Tracy, Melinda, and Candice. Paul was well-loved and admired by neighbors, fellow businesspeople, and many others worldwide, whom he touched with his laughter, curiosity, and main philosophy of taking life with a stride.

When one door closes, another opens. Paul is poised to meet again all his loved ones who have gone before him, including his parents, Leonard and Laura Lawson; his birth mother, Audrey Pennamon; his brothers Ricky, Ronnie, and Steven; his sister Sharon; and grandson Max; his close friends Chuck, Roland, Ruth, other Cabbagetown kids, and his first wife Annie, the birth mother of Charlene, Lisa, Sherri-Lynn Audrey, and April.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family.
