Robert John Cairns

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert in his 78th year at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Friday December 8, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Beloved husband of the late Shirley (March 2023).

He will be deeply missed by his daughter Michele Dressel (Mark) and his son Robert Cairns (Christina). Left to mourn his loss are his grandson Mark Cairns and his granddaughters Janai Eckhardt (Nic), Morisa Cairns and Aleah Dressel, as well as his adored great-grandchildren Porter and Bo Eckhardt.

Robert will be forever missed by his loving brother Paul Cairns (Vicky) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be fondly remembered by Shirley's family; Patricia Neath (Rodger) and their children Jennifer (Jacob Baker) and Cathy (Dan Straat) and their children Sydney, Avery and Jake.

He will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend Flora Lortie and her children Fred Lortie and Sheri Foster.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Violet, his sister Betty and his brothers Gerry (Caroline) and Charlie (Evelyn) Cairns.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
