Robert Paul Polai

The family of Robert Paul Polai is saddened to announce his passing at his home in Ayr on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 79 years of age.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Beth, daughter Lori Hogben (Dave) and Lisa Fletcher and stepchildren Sarah Safar (Gregory), Emily Hood and Sean Gibson (Trish). He will be missed by grandchildren Logan Hogben, Ethan & Halle Safar, Jack & Hannah Hood, Sierra Szabo & Payton Gibson and Micheal & Ashley Miller.

He is survived by sister Helen Teskey (Eddie), and sister-in-law Shirley Grumme (Henning), Kathy Holmes (Ronald) and brother-in-law Douglas (Debbie) Bowman.

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Julia Polai and his biological Mother Marguerite Martin, and mother-in-law, Audrey Boniface.

Bob enjoyed his 38 years of employment at JM Schneiders as a truck driver. He was a very enthusiastic Kitchener Rangers fan. He enjoyed tinkering with his "babies" his Crossfire and Jaguar convertibles. He was known for several years as the "Bike" man in Ayr.

His greatest joys were times spent cheering on his grandchildren at their chosen activities, spending time with his family, and time at home with Beth and his miniature long haired dachshund Libby.

As per Bob's request cremation has already taken place. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Good Friday, March 29, 2024 from 3-5 at the Ayr Curling Club, 210 Northumberland St., Ayr, ON with an "about Bob" presentation at 4:00pm followed by Bob's requested Pizza party.
