William Burdett

William (Bill) Gerald Burdett, age 90, passed away peacefully at St Mary's hospital in Kitchener Ontario, on March 18th, 2024.

He was born in Stratford, Ontario, son of the late Edward Erle and Minota Burdett. Beloved husband for 56 years to Carole (Slessor). Loving father of Stephen Burdett , Suzanne Burdett and Shelley Leduke (Brian Leduke). Grandfather to Bria Leduke, Bennett Leduke and Zachary Futyer. Great Grandfather to Levi, Forrest and Bodhi. Dear brother of Erle Burdett (Betty) and Bruce Burdett (Marion). Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Carole (2017), brothers Erle (2013) and Bruce (1996).

William began his career with the Canadian National Railway at the young age of 18 as an office assistant  and worked there until his retirement as a Marketing Executive at the age of 55. Once retired he took on a part time sales job selling furniture at Sears Canada. He loved working with people and was regularly named top salesman  William will forever be known for his wonderful sense of humour his love of disco, golf, hockey and baseball and most importantly his love for his family.

At his request, cremation will take place and a private family gathering to be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association as expressions of sympathy.
