Ronald Edward Mallard

Passed away peacefully, after a recent cancer diagnosis, on Monday June 12, 2023 at the age of 72 years.

Ron was born in Montreal but spent most of his life in Kitchener-Waterloo. He was a long-time employee of Challenger Motor Freight.

Beloved spouse and best friend of Linda Schmidt. Step-father of Paul Schmidt (Sharon). Cherished grandfather of Isabella, Kendra and Serena Schmidt. Dear Brother of Jim (Cynthia). Missed by nieces Laura and Karen and great niece and nephew Laura-Ann and Austin. He will be fondly remembered by many relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues and by his best friends Bailey and Cali.

Predeceased by his parents, James and Valda.

Cremation has taken place.  A private family gathering will take place at later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the SPCA as expressions of sympathy.
