(Ruby) Carol Fouse

1932 - 2024

Carol passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at Stirling Heights LTC, Cambridge at the age of 92 years.

Carol was born in Kansas City Township, Wyandotte, Kansas on March 8, 1932. After graduating from Wyandotte High School, Carol worked at Unity Farm (Village) where she met (William) Bill Fouse who was studying to become a minister. Carol and Bill married on February 16 1951. Later that year, they moved to Preston (Cambridge) where Bill joined his brothers to work at Kralinator Filters. They welcomed three daughters over the next several years. Carol was a loving mother who always encouraged and supported her girls.

Carol eventually got her Canadian citizenship, which she was very proud of.

Carol extended her love of children, volunteering with children’s church programs, volunteering on the pediatrics ward at the hospital and working on the PTA at school. Carol enjoyed traveling regularly with the family as well as couple trips with Bill. She also loved her monthly bridge nights with friends.

Left to cherish her memory are (William) Bill Fouse, her loving husband of 73 years; her three daughters Cathy Hart (Tim), Toni Fouse, Deb Panabaker (Dave); her four grandchildren Tim (Coby), Rob (Petara), Kyla (Chad), Spencer (Amber). She also leaves nine great grandchildren. Carol’s sister Martha Castro is also left to cherish her memory. Carol was predeceased by her parents Vernie and Merville Hankins. 

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
