Sheila Mary Hillis

1937-2024 

Sheila passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at the age of 86 years.

She was born in Toronto and grew up in Owen Sound, Ontario. She retired from a Truck Stop Restaurant that she and her husband owned and operated in Shakespeare Ontario and lived in Kitchener for the past 20 years to be close to her family and friends.

She was the beloved wife and best friend of Howard Hillis, who were married for over 67 years.

Loving mother of Brian (June), Wayne, and Sherri (Mike). Cherished grandmother of Adrian (Emma), Justin, Samantha, Brandon, Kirsten and Jake. Great grandmother to Ellie and Andersen.

Predeceased by her parents.

At her request, there will be no services and cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus as expressions of sympathy.

The Hillis family would like to thank the palliative care team at Freeport Hospital for making Sheila’s final days comfortable. The level of care and support she and our family received from the staff was exceptional.
