Stanko Pincjer
1968 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and father on Monday April 22, 2024 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, he was 55.
Stanko was born in Novi Sad, Serbia where he was raised alongside 3 siblings. After graduating high school in 1986 he completed a memorable one-year military service in the Yugoslav Army. He then attended the University of Novi Sad’s Bachelor of Mathematics program. With a strengthening interest in computers, he got his first job writing an antivirus software, the first of its kind in Serbia. In 1991, he immigrated to Canada in search of opportunity. Here he met his spouse and began a productive career in software development, holding managerial positions at numerous Toronto companies. After his sons were born in 1999 and 2002, he chose to retire in 2006 to spend more time with his family. He continued to work on programming passion projects and composed many pieces of music. He also increasingly self-studied topics in mathematics, computing, history, and politics.
He is survived by his beloved partner and best friend Drahusa Lenjo and by his loving sons Michael and Thomas Pintier. He was the cherished son of Samuel & Ilonka Pincjer.
He was the dear brother of Branko Pincjer and his wife Slavica, Ivan Pincjer and his wife Jelena, and Marienka Djakovic and her husband Drazen.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Samuel and Anna Pintier, and Michal and Maria Bartos.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday May 5th at 11am at The Dedication Centre at Williamsburg Cemetery 1541 Fischer Hallman Rd, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
