Bernard Charles Stacey

Stacey, Bernard Charles of Kitchener, Ontario formerly of Dunville, NL. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle on December 21, 2024 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario after a lengthy illness. 73 years ago, Bernard Charles Stacey was born in Burin, NL on November 18, 1951. He was one in a family of 12 children, and was loved dearly by all his siblings.

Predeceased by his father, Bernard Stacey, and his mother Betty Stacey his sister Betty Mooney, his brother Ron Haley, and his nephew Ken Drodge.

Leaving to mourn: sons: Bill Stacey Cambridge, Ontario and John Stacey (Rhea Brennan) Hundred Mile House, BC and their Mother Cathy Reid-Stacey, Cambridge. Daughter, Shelly Quilty (Brian) Fox Harbour, NL. Grandchildren Kendra Perham and Noah Quilty of Fox Harbour, NL and Jackson Stacey of Hundred Mile House, BC.

Lovingly remembered by Sisters: Camilla Stoodley (Paul Bishop), Carole Flynn (Terry), Mary Drodge, Annette Haley (Frank Atkinson); Brothers: Al Stacey (Kathi); Wayne Haley (Wanda); Frank Haley (Joanne); Leo Haley (Valerie Short); Glenn Stacey (Karen Chafe); Sister in law Denise Haley. 25 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; Special Aunts: Lydia Alexander, Theresa Hartson and Mathilda Fitzpatrick. Special Uncle Carl Walsh. Numerous relatives, many treasured cousins and friends. Special thank you to his life-long friend Leo Quilty for all the support and kindness over the years.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Freeport Hospital in Kitchener.

At his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in Cambridge, Ontario at a later date.
