Lorraine Alice Marie Lennox
It is with profound sadness – yet polarizing relief – that we announce the passing of Lorraine Alice Marie Lennox, who succumbed to cancer as a gentle snow fell. Against all clinical reason, we had hoped to enjoy more time with such a vibrant woman.
Lorraine will be deeply missed by her children Joel, Andréa (Kieran), Jenna and Dylan, as well as grandchildren Drew and Cameron. Predeceased by her beloved mother Jacqueline, she leaves behind siblings Wayne (Lynn), Diane (Joe) and their growing families. Lorr will also be fondly remembered by her gal pals, a tight-knit group known as the GVGs. A special shout out to Kim, who took the role of bestie to another level.
Lorraine’s unabashed sass, flair and spirited attitude made her impossible to forget. She routinely rose before the sun to make the most of every day and made it a point to compliment strangers on a regular basis. The devil was always in the details for Lorraine, which is why she found joy in interior and fashion aesthetics. To that end, she appreciated bespoke art and consistently supported local creatives. Lorr also took a defiant stance against her illness by attending every chemotherapy session dressed to the nines.
The family is grateful for the compassionate staff at Cambridge Palliative & Frail Elder Care Associates, Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Freeport Hospice for being true comfort keepers in her final weeks. Once grief has been processed privately, details for an intimate Celebration of Life will be released.
A flirty cocktail. A striking charcuterie board. A risqué punchline. Subtlety need not apply as we take time to indulge in some of Lorraine’s favourite things.
T’as gagné ton ciel Ma.
