Sheila Mary Groom

Passed away on January 27, 2025 at Highland Place Retirement Residence, Ontario at the age of 87.

Beloved mother of Kathleen George (spouse Adrian Mizzi), Christopher George (spouse Joan George), Isabel George and John George.

Proud grandmother of Alexandra, Kristen, Faegan, and Jack, and great-grandmother of Levi, William, Isla and Kieran.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Groom, sister Isabel Skinner, brother Jackie (John) Groom and former husband William C. George (father of her children).

Sheila was a passionate gardener, she enjoyed needlework, beading, crafting, and especially reading, and in her earlier years she loved cycling and fitness.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025 @11AM-2PM  (12-1PM Eulogy/Readings) at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, 2500 Kossuth Road, Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 4R7. Light snacks, and drinks will be provided.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
